Recreation facility assessment, planning, and design

Cordillera conducts condition assessments of outdoor recreation facilities and infrastructure and develops plans and designs for facility expansion, upgrade and reconstruction projects. Cordillera has experience in the following facility areas: trails, campsites, bridges, cabins and cook shelters, roadways, day use areas, parking areas, toilet and shower buildings, signage, playgrounds, water and sewer systems, docks and boat launches, backcountry energy systems etc.

Project management for recreation facility construction and upgrade projects

Cordillera provides project management services for all phases of outdoor recreation facility expansion, upgrade, and reconstruction projects. Services include project planning and logistics, procurement of project materials and services, managing contracts and monitoring performance, and commissioning of completed projects.

Recreational land use planning

Cordillera has experience coordinating and developing land use plans, with an emphasis on finding solutions to problems such as recreation-related impacts to sensitive natural values, conflicting recreational user groups, unregulated and/or unmanaged recreational use, and compliance and enforcement issues.

Land use permit and impact assessment facilitation

Cordillera facilitates land use permit and environmental impact assessment submissions for proposed land uses including adventure tourism and commercial recreation, ski run development, and recreation facility development and expansion.
